Main tasks performed
Pre-project:
- Define the project needs, determine the particularities and propose different applicable solutions
- Responsible for selecting the professionals involved in the project
- Establish the preliminary schedule (pre-project)
- Validate the initial budget
- Analyze, understand and optimize the plans, specifications and bid documents
- Coordinate the project start-up meeting
During the project:
- Establish project schedules and follow up on them on a weekly basis Establish the budget for the projects under his/her supervision in collaboration with the estimator
- Manage changes to contracts during the course of the project
- Review and validate monthly project cost report
- Coordinate the various stakeholders
- Support the superintendent in the management of the site
- Conduct site visits
- Coordinate adjustments to plans as needed
End of project:
- Validate the final cost report
- Coordinate and direct the post-mortem of the project
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or other relevant field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a project manager position
- Good knowledge of the construction industry
- Good knowledge of the building code
- Good command of French
- Good knowledge of English (an asset)
- Good command of the Office suite tools
